1. Run sample JDBC program on your laptop

   a. Download & unzip jdbc.zip from course website

   b. Set the classpath to point to DB2 drivers

   c. Compile the code

   d. Edit the mydb.properties file to point to local DB

   e. Run the code on sample query

   f. Change the properties file to execute on remote DB
      ec2-174-129-49-13.compute-1.amazonaws.com:50001

   g. Change the code to use prepare statement

2. Run sample java threads program on your laptop

   a. Download & unzip javathreads.zip from course website

   b. Compile & run the code

   c. Add timing code to print out the elapsed time.

3. [Optional] Run sample ODBC program on your laptop
